We have more than 30 years combined bookkeeping experience, along with a healthy dose of entrepreneurial spirit, so we confidently pledge to work with our clients to help them achieve success.

Our Mission

Marie Martin

Principal & Co-Owner

Having a bookkeeper means you can focus on providing your customers with your best service without needing to worry that payroll won’t be ready, or reports aren’t filed when required. Using Sound Accounts for those services assures much more. Marie Martin is here to provide the answers to bookkeeping procedures you might not even know are necessary for your business. Furthermore, her passion for the process means you get accurate and timely results so your business can thrive.

Marie spent her career researching until the solution was found. Her passion for assuring others that the work is complete and COMPLETELY CORRECT, are skills she uses as the Project Manager and co-owner at Sound Accounts. Furthermore, she’s good at what she does. “I enjoy the logic puzzles, and solving the issue brings me a sense of accomplishment.” Her intention is to provide her clients with documents that clearly explain how the business is operating. She doesn’t like surprises and is adamant that her clients won’t be surprised by any unexpected financial concerns.

Sound Accounts offers complete online services. Documents can be sent and received electronically, reports can be filed online, and payroll can be completed and distributed easily. Security is paramount and is monitored daily and updated regularly. Clients can call, email, or Zoom, and unlike large, corporate companies, the communication remains personalized and friendly. Marie is your employee whose office doesn’t take up any office space. Yet she makes you feel as if she’s there.

Marie is trusted by 100% of her clients and not only provides bookkeeping and payroll services that are accurate, she also educates you about how to look for fraudulent practices that can arise in the industry. Michael Cole

Operations Manager & Co-Owner

You want your bookkeeper to be reliable, honest, and accessible, right? How about committed? At Sound Accounts, Operations Manager and co-owner  Michael Cole, would want to have his spread sheets with him if he was stranded on a desert island! Yes, he’s that enamored with numbers and the stories they tell. Michael has had a life-long affinity for numbers and has been employed throughout his career to utilize his skills. The Air Force veteran, database administrator, and longtime high school volleyball referee admits that “Spreadsheets are my happy place.”

Like co-owner Marie Martin, Michael is passionate about providing his clients with more than standard bookkeeping services. His attention to detail, desire to learn the individual needs of every client, and ability to educate them along the way guarantees that he is giving his clients the freedom to focus on their business. A new client to Sound Accounts can expect a questionnaire about their business and a review of current bookkeeping procedures. Then, Michael feels he can provide you with an accurate plan for what Sound Accounts can do for you.

Michael is in the process of earning his degree and wants to become a Certified Public Accountant and add tax preparation to the services offered at Sound Accounts. Michael believes in finding ways to make the biggest impact and loves the natural progression of the business by adding tax services to the menu.

Tyler Sharp

Customer Service & Administration

Tyler Sharp, Customer Service and Administration, is the icing on the cake for anyone who connects with Sound Accounts. When the numbers need crunched, and crunched quickly, interacting with Tyler regarding your business takes the anxious out of the equation. You know you will receive quality service from your bookkeepers, Marie Martin and Michael Cole. A friendly, hyper-attentive assistant as the liaison between your needs and the solution is what you can count on from Tyler.

Tyler sees customer service as 20 foot tall letters: he is passionate about being there for his clients. He welcomes clients with a “warm verbal handshake.” His own expectations as a consumer remind him how valuable a quality experience is at Sound Accounts. Tyler’s energy ensures a positive interaction when clients engage with him. His ability to listen and guide customers to the best person means less time between your concern and a solution. Whether it’s about payroll, a form that needs filed, or a P&L statement that doesn’t add up, Tyler’s attention to detail assures you the right person will handle your business.
